An investigative company in Finland recently does an interesting survey. It is about the age of group who buy through the internet some daily goods such as watches, shoes, jewellery, T-shirts, trousers, books etc. the study focuses on the average age of the customers who consume these goods. It reveals some facts: the age of customers who buy shoes or watches are the youngest, followed by T-shirt, trousers and books. Age of people who buy glasses on the internet is listed at the end. There are several reasons attributing to this result. Shoes and watches are mostly worn by the young people who desire fashion greatly. They use shoes as a symbol of fashion and vigor which represent their image and taste. Watch, have been considered as a symbol of status since long time ago, still play a significant part in showing a peoples status. S scholarships for high school seniors o watches are favored by those successful businessmen or celebrities. And the trend that successful entrepreneurs are becoming younger. Apart from this reason, young people also like the watches with cute and fashionable design which also used as a kind of decoration. Then why the glasses are listed at the end of the list? People who buy glasses on the internet belong to the kind of people who are unwilling to go outside and carefully budget their living expense, usually are old people. Glasses need some practical try-on process. So many people will take reserved attitude on this shopping manner. However, as a matter of fact, online shopping is a way that should be encouraged. On the internet, the glasses are generally much cheaper. There are large margin of profit of glasses industry, so the room for price shrinkage is also large.
